An Insight into the Rinnegan’s Abilities

Naruto manga chapter 375 – Ni Dai Sennin (Two Great Hermits) is awesome! Very soon, the true abilities of the Rinnegan will be fully revealed. For now, the latest chapter has given an insight into the Rinnegan’s abilities, and this has left me puzzled over a widely-discussed issue – why is Madara stronger than Pein? Read on for my answer to that question.
The power to master every technique
Having the eyes of the Sage of the Six Paths enabled Pein to master every technique which Jiraiya taught him. This basically means that Pein is able to master every technique in the world at ease, from Naruto’s killer move, Fuuton Rasengan down to Sasuke’s Chidori. This can be said to be even superior to Uchiha Madara / Tobi’s Sharingan. Because of this, it has left me quite puzzled now as to why Pein is still weaker than Madara, as Madara is after all the whole mastermind behind the Akatsuki organization.
I do have a theory to that question. Let’s assume that Pein is terribly strong and has learnt ALMOST all the techniques in the world, much more than Madara had. However, with Madara’s Sharingan’s copy abilities, he is able to copy all techniques which Pein has ever learnt, and this will mean that whatever techniques which Pein has, Madara will have it too. In addition to that, Madara even has his own set of techniques exclusive to a Sharingan user – Tsukuyomi (God of the Moon) & Amaterasu (God of the Sun), and until now, we have yet to see the true deadly effects of Amaterasu. I suppose this is why Madara is still a little bit stronger than Pein.
However, we still haven’t yet found out all there is to the Rinnegan. It still has that ‘reincarnation’ ability which we have yet to see. This will surely be one of the greatest climaxes in Naruto.
Jiraiya Hermit Mode
Also in the battle between Jiraiya & Pein, Jiraiya has resorted to one of his greatest techniques (I assume so), the Jiraiya Hermit Mode. This is getting more and more interesting. I just can’t wait for chapter 376 to come out!!!

Hmm the anime is slow, but the MANGA is faw ahead. u shld read the manga first and just watch the anime for fun.
So far, Sasuke has already met up with Itachi. Whether they have started to fight will be known in a few more weeks. Right now it’s showing Jiraiya’s battle with the Akatsuki acting leader, Pein/Pain

Spoiler: Well… Jiraya is dead, but Pein didn’t show all Rinnegan’s abilities ;/ he showed us nothing to be honest.. I expected some action.. but no… Pein is so powerful that he didn’t have to go all out on Toad Sage… w/e
I think that Madara is not stronger than Pein … but he is more experienced in battle than he is, that’s why he is more “powerful” possibly he might be sharper than Pein and there might be many reasons why that is so…
Lets not forget that Madara overpowered Kyuubi’s power..

true true… Pein is powerful but also Mandara has alot more experience in battle(agreement) but he still lost to the first hokage…but he’s dead so it doeasn’t matter.

obito lost his left eye and tobi only has his right eye…maybe somehow tobi is madara in obito’s body..jus a theory

Madara can’t copy the elemental moves. Remember what Kakashi said. Although the sharingan can copy moves, it is bound to the elements that he is able to use. So he is unable to use wind chakra such as Naruto. And Tobi IS Madara if it isn’t obvious enough in the manga yet.

my thinking is that while the rinnegan is far more powerful than the sharingan madara has far more experience, it could even be that even though the rinnegan is more powerful, madara’s sharingan could be stronger because it has TWO sharingan, its unlikely but possible, i think its more likely that pein is more powerful than Madara and either doesn’t know it yet or is just planning to learn as much as he can from madara before killing him

Jiraiyah said that Rinnegan was the most powerful of the 3 main eye techniques long before he knew about Mangekyou sharingan, so it’s possible that mangekyou sharingan, fully mastered, is stronger than Rinnegan. Not to mention Madara has ETERNAL MANGEKYOU SHARINGAN, which is even more powerful. And, DUH, Madara’a immortal!

madara is stronger than pein and i thought madara defeated 1st and 2nd hokage and since madara is in obito’s body, he is weaker cuz obito has 1 eye and mangekyou sharingan has 3 effect , Tsukyomi (genjutsu , the genjutsu where itachi used on kakashi , the one with 72 hours of stabbing), Amaretsu (ninjutsu, black flame that burns anything in its way), susanoo ( uknown ) so madara can just put pein in a genjutsu and madara (tobi) is actually akatsuki leader

its obvious tobi is not using obitos body…. obitos body was crushed beyond repair.. and he died as a kid.. how could he have an adult body now…

I think Pein is stronger than Madara but Madara has a great plan to us the tailed beasts power so once Madara succeeds Pein will kill him

I know the secret of pain now!!!…guys who want to challenge me, go ahead!!!, here is my theory:
Remember the secret code jiraiya sent stating that ‘THE REAL ONE IS NOT WITH THEM’, this is true after assuming that yahiko is dead and that nagato is using a strong genjutsu on each of the realm i.e animal realm, demon realm etc…i do believe the power of the rinnegan is to have absolute control overs ones soul!!, so pain after contolling their soul is able to make them move, speak, attack, defend as he wish!!, i doubt the fact that nagato can clone his soul itself that is why you can notice each realm and summon with the rinnegan!!, this is why jiraiya said that the real one is not with them!!, its because nagato is controlling the realm & summons and with the multiple vision he is having from each of the realm & summon, he has full control over the situation!! If this was not a secret, pain is doomed!!!, now the real problem is that where is the nagato hiding his ass??

I agree with dragon_5. I think Nagato is using the bodies as puppets, similar to Chiyo and Sasori. If u remember the fight btw Pein and Jiraiya, when the bodies were trapped in the genjutsu (the Ni Dai Sennin genjutsu), the bodies were useless. This could be due to the genjutsu blocking the chakra from the remote Nagato from being transmitted to the 6 bodies which has the chakra receivers or piercings. It was also noted that when one of the bodies were blind…they could still share the same vision…like a surveillance camera. I think it is Nagato in Amegakure(or another spelling) controlling the bodies from his tower. Nagato collects bodies that have certain techniques and utilizes them (which is totally different from Orochimaru).Pein also uses a jutsu to meet at the Bijuu tower using telepathy.
As dragon_5 correctly said he can control their souls and summons them. Recall that the animal realm ripped out a ninja’s soul, leaving the body lifeless. He even uses a technique that consumes the souls of the two ninja’s he held while interrogating Naruto’s whereabouts.
The Naruto world will be in a total nightmare.
Oh BTW…Point of information…Madara cannot be Obito. Madara has the eternal sharingan (EMS). It can be said he is immortal, and it is possible that he knew Kakuzu when they were young. Another thing is that is it vague to say Obito is Madara due to the mask. It is possible Madara could cut his long hair and wear a mask to disguise himself.
Why put Pain know that Madara is in Obito’s body and then take orders from him?
It is also true that MS is only bound to the user’s elemental moves. The Rinnegan can also use all types of nature manipulation (not normal). If u were to put Madara vs Pein….who would win? Madara of course has tons of experiences, while Pein can counter his attacks. The match must be…
Madara (without mask) vs Nagato (not using bodies).
But the question is…why did Madara help to kill off his own clan? (sobbing). It makes no sense to just kill of ur clan..the clan u wanted to protect.

yo creo que madara uchiha es mas poderoso por que solo Pein conoce el verdadero poder de madara recordemos que tobi o madara uchiha posee el eternal sharingan solo pein posee ese sharigan.
cambiando de tema se dieron cuenta del sharingan que activo sasuke uchiha es mui parecido al eternal pero no es el mismo, que poderes tendra ese sharingan, sera tan poderoso como cree madara, que poderes tendra sasuke con este nuevo sharigan.
cambiando de tema nuevamente kakashi murio?? cual sera el nuevo jutsu de naruto??que tan poderoso puede llegar a ser naruto en modo sennin?? que tan poderoso es sin el modo sennin??? sera el 6to hokage?? que paso con gai, lee, ten ten, neji, ino i todos los ninjas de la aldea oculta de konoha??? realmente el tendou de pein es tan poderoso como para destruirlo todo ???

pein has met up with naruto and told him his story so naruto can give him an answer it is in naruto manga peins story starts in chapter 445 and ends in 447 go to onemanga.com/naruto to read them

First off he helped kill off his own clan because they turned again him.
And the reason why Pein is not stronger then mandara is because the superior blood line that he possess. Pein can copy every normal attack, but nothing in the line of a blood limit. Mandara can also make himself untouchable along with all sorts of eye tech.
This is why he is superior.

Just because Paine’s Rin’negan is more powerful than Maranda’s Sharingan doesn’t mean that Paine himself is more powerful than Maranda.
Prehaps Maranda is just a better ninja?
Or, prehaps Paine is just waiting. It’s likely he finds it easier to minipulate others from the shadows, then to run things straight-out.

Madara Uchiha is 96 years old (roughly), he disguised himself as Tobi simply because a hidden master can’t be assassinated or questioned, his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan not only gives him everlasting life but the ability to see any attack no matter how fast or powerful it may be, giving him more than enough time to use time/space jutsu to avoid an attack. And after 90 years of training he probably wouldn’t need to use the sharingan at all, his speed and reaction time would be insanely fast (as we sort of saw when he was Tobi, Kisame commented “He is a good runner”) and his chakra control isn’t even funny (plus he was born with immense chakra anyway), Pein (Nagato) has the Rinnegan but we do not know how experienced he is at using it, he could be the worst Rinnegan user ever for all we know, however Madara proclaims himself to be the true master of the Sharingan, and seeing as he was the first to get the Mangekyo Sharingan (along with his brother) he’s also had the last… what, 80 years to perfect it, are you really that suprised to find out he’s still alive? As far as the argument who’s stronger Madara or Pein, my answer after much research and intense debates would have to be Madara, mainly because he has trained for so long, he was able to summon and control the kyubi through genjutsu manipulation and the fact that he can use time/space jutsu. I know your thinking, ‘great, he can teleport, big deal, so could the 4th!’ That may be true be for Minato to use his Flying Thunder God Jutsu he had to perform a handsign and his specialised kunai used a certain seal to use the jutsu.

no no no he disguised because he has no power anymore he collects the bijuu(tailed-beasts) , who at one time were all one but the first Rinnegan holder split them apart from their original form. he wants to use them like the jinchuuriki do he is going to bring them together as one and make that one his own. read the latest chapter youll get it all.

Im not sure where i read this, but apparently Pein and the chick already forgot her name lol, is actually being controlled by Madara. Because of his Sharingan.

i am a little lost, since i have not seen to much shippuden yet, i am still confused bout tobi and who he is. If pein is the leadr of akutski why is he less superior to tobi or also know as madara?

Tobi is Madara. Madara started the Akatsuki. I am guessing that Pain is just a decoy. That is why Tobi is just a lowly member. So no one will be searching to destroy him.
