Bleach 303 – Dumdum-Dummy-Dumbstruck

Summary
The chapter begins by showing that Mayuri has fallen prey to Szayel’s puppet technique.
Szayel then mocked Mayuri for his incompetence even though he’s a captain-class shinigami. Szayel thought that he had already smashed the tendons and internal organs of Mayuri and that he was about to die, until Mayuri made a funny face at him and said that he had been tricked. Szayel tried again and crush Mayuri’s body but nothing much happened to him.
Like Zomari, Szayel was taken aback by this sight and he was taken aback. He asked Mayuri what ability was that and Mayuri simply replied that he had already gotten sick of his performance (Szayel’s puppet ability). He then explained that he had beforehand placed surveillance bacteria into Ishida’s body and had observed the whole fight all this while. Because of this, Mayuri had replaced every tendons and organs within his body with a dummy.
Ishida was shocked over this and demanded to know when Mayuri placed all those bacteria in his body and said that this was an act of human violation rights. Mayuri simply called him a reprobate and told him to shut up. Without Mayuri’s notice, Nemu, Mayuri’s adjutant, was taken hostage by Szayel.
Nemu then told Szayel that capturing her won’t make her a hostage, and Szayel told her to shut up. Mayuri became annoyed by all this and activated his Bankai, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizou. Szayel was shocked by this and Mayuri’s Bankai emitted a kind of gas which Szayel thought was a form of virus. He had the confidence of counteracting the virus but Mayuri told him that he had no time left. With a great body slam, Szayel was smashed by Mayuri’s Bankai.

Personal Opinions
Finally, this is the end of the 8th Espada. I seriously can’t think of him still being able to fight next week. Well, we won’t miss him anyway, but seriously, this is one fast fight. It ended in just one chapter, whereas Byakuya’s fight with Zomari lasted for 3 chapters. Still, this fight is about the same as Byakuya in the sense that both of them jumped straight to Bankai without activating their Shikai first. It seemed as though Shikai is very weak indeed.
So next week’s chapter will be the most exciting climax of all! I suppose every one should know what I’m referring to. That’s right! Zaraki Kenpachi’s fight with the 5th Espada, Nnoitra Jiruga!!! That will certainly be one hell of a fight!!! I can’t wait to see Zaraki unleash his Shikai, or even Bankai, if he has one that is. I suppose after so long, Kubo Tite must have already planned out his Bankai… All Zaraki fans, we are in luck!!! Watch out for him next week!!!
P.S. I hope they don’t show the 4th Squad Captain Unohana next week… If that’s the case then Zaraki’s fight will be shown even later…
