Naruto 384 – Sasuke VS. Itachi!!!

Summary
The chapter begins with the commencement of the fight between Sasuke and Itachi.
A careless mistake made by Sasuke caused him to be flunked off into the distance by Itachi with great force. Refusing to admit defeat, Sasuke picked himself up and used Chidori. Itachi couldn’t dodge it and was stabbed by Sasuke’s chokutō.
Itachi told Sasuke that he has grown strong. Sasuke then said that he had a last question for him, as he thought that he had already won the battle. Itachi then pointed towards the seat above the stairs and there was another Itachi there. Sasuke had fallen prey to Itachi’s Sharingan.
Itachi then told Sasuke that even though this wasn’t the last, he asked him what question did he have for him. Sasuke then replied in anger that he had already made himself very clear that this was the last.
The Sasuke standing in front of Itachi was an illusion. The real Sasuke was at the back of Itachi’s seat without his knowing and he stabbed Itachi through the seat. Itachi had fallen prey to Sasuke’s Sharingan this time.
End
Itachi owned Sasuke.

Personal Opinions
I must admit, even though I have been anticipating this fight for a very long time, it sort of disappointed me. This was quite a boring chapter, seriously. I suppose this is way too fast for us to handle? Right after Jiraiya’s death, it’s now time for Sasuke’s fight. Masashi sure is rushing things. Is Naruto coming to an end soon? I hope not.
The last picture showed Sasuke in a highly advantageous position. But Masashi sure can twist things around. Sasuke’s fight with Itachi only lasts for 1 chapter? Definitely not. Sasuke sure is arrogant this time. How can Itachi be defeated THAT easily. Let’s see how Sasuke gets his ass kicked by his brother.
Meanwhile, I really hope to see Naruto’s fight with Tobi… That certainly is more interesting than seeing 2 brothers with predictable powers fighting one another. I mean, we already know that they both use Sharingan. What other interesting powers could they have? I believe all of us are more interested to see Tobi’s powers, or am I wrong?
Akatsuki’s leader fighting Konoha ninjas. That will definitely be an epic battle.

That was way too easy and I agree I don’t think itachi wants to kill sasuke, i think he wants sasuke to get stronger than him, but obviously sasuke could not beat itachi that easily even with orochimaru’s powers, because orochimaru couldn’t even beat itachi, i guess the real action will happen in a next manga, and why hasn’t neji got a shot at one of these guys with the legendary eyes, that’s alot more interesting

We wait this fight for hundreds chapter. Will it end for one chapter? Exactly not. What is Tobi’s purpose fighting with konoha ninja? Tobi can’t be defeated now. Tobi is the real AL leader. If he dies, Akatsuki is over.

Sasuke must work very hard to beat Deidara. Itachi can beat Deidara easily. Can Sasuke beat Itachi in one chapter? No. It can’t be happened.

If Itachi beats Sasuke all that training will go to waste, now Sasuke betrays Konoha and beats Itachi would his clan think it would be right. So is Tobi Madara? if so then Sasuke isnt the last of the Uchiha Him, Tobi, and Itachi are.

I don’t think Sasuke will defeat Itachi THAT easily. and I don’t think Sasuke will join Akatsuki… There’s no meaning for him in there I guess.
My guess is that at the end of Naruto, Sasuke will become a good person once again and best friends with Naruto. Let’s hope that happens.

I think that tobi is Madara Uchiha. His identity has been a mystery since the beginning, but Im pretty sure that he is the reason itachi killed his whole clan and left the village. I think Sasuke will kill Itachi and reveal the truth with his last breathe of course angering sasuke and causing himto regret his hatred towards Itachi.

i dun think akatsuki has ordered itachi to kill sasuke, or am i wrong? and i again i dun think itachi intends to kill sasuke. he will most probably let him off this time, that is if he wins the battle. Sasuke seems to have the advantage now but it won’t be long before he gets pwned by itachi.
And yea tobi shld be madara since zetsu has confirmed tt fact. guess tt obito theory is invalid now?

I read it in english, they don´t say anything important until the end. When sasuke stabbed itachi he asked him “before you die there´s something I need to ask you…” and that´s the end…

I’m waiting for this question Sasuke is going to ask Itachi. it might be something like “are you proud of me?” or something.
I feel that the fight was short and sweet. Ok, maybe not the apocalyptic showdown that everyone was expecting, but if its short it shows that Sasuke is stronger than Itachi, since Itachi hasn’t been improving in any way shape or form, only to rely on his genjustu, Sasuke has been training solidly for three years in order to beat Itachi.
I’m also curious on where Sasuke could go from here. he has already screwed up any chance of going back to Konoha because is his seen there are a traitorous git, and since the village of the sound is obsolete, there isn’t a lot he can do. maybe he could go to the snake mountain (if there is a toad mountain, there must be a snake one and slug one) to speak the some kind of guide who will tell him what to do. being sixteen or fifteen, it will probably tell him to get wasted, get laid and stop thinking about revenge for a couple of days.

i dunno is this is right but dont you think why itachi didnt kill sasuke coz my be there is another evolution of sharingan that only sasuke and madara can only bear and itachi wants to see it so he can compare it to his mengekyu or maybe itachi have a new discovery or maybe a higher state of sharingan ehehehe ……. i just make up story aahahaha dont belive in me ^^ this is just an opinion ^^

Reasons to support:
• Can regenerate himself, so probably that’s why he survives the rock-crushing? (MangaAddict)
• Tobi wears a mask that covers his left eye and his right eye shows. So, the empty socket (the left eye which he had donated to Kakashi) is covered by the mask. (fuzzy0097)
• There are bolts showing in his uniform (prior to joining Akatsuki) probably meant to support parts of his body that was crushed by the rocks or it shows that Tobi has an artificial body (we never see any of his skin). I would assume that Obito was implying that he would see out of Kakashi’s… well… his own eye. The perfect tool for espionage to start a criminal organization with.

its possible that Tobi is Obito’s body, and Madara is using it to haunt some people. why he would want to do that to Kakashi is particular is beyond me. I seriously have doubts that Obito would be so evil with only a fifteen year gap, as he knew he was going to die so accepted it with good grace.

I really don’t think Sasuke killed Itachi. If you really think about it, Itachi’s crows only appear when someone else is under his genjutsu, and it’d make perfect sense to assume that Sasuke is still under Itachi’s genjutsu….

i think theres a reason beyond what he said that made itachi leave sasuke alive. i believe that tobi-obito-madara recognized itachi’s strength and came to itachi and told him to kill everyone but one person in his clan, and itachi left his brother sasuke alive (after all, he does show some sort of affection for him a couple times). because of this, i think there will be something to do with three people who can use the sharigan, that will make them somehow more powerful (or maybe a more powerful sharigan) and the rest of the uchiha clan had to be out of the way to do it. this also tallies with itachis challenge to sasuke to get stronger: he needs to be strong for whatever itachi and tobi have in mind

i also believe that sasuke is still under itachi’s genjutsu since in chapter 383 in the last page, itachi told sasuke ‘let’s see how good your eyesight is’….meaning he is just testing sasuke’s eyesight, leading to whether sasuke can distinguish between which is real or which is genjutsu!!..i suppose its like that!!!

posed this is another thread awhile back and wanted to get some peoples opinions.
I belive the third ability of the Mangekyou Sharingan will be called Susanoo but i don’t think it will be related to lightning or water yes i know susanoo is the god of the sea and storms but i was doing some research and in the Kojiki it states that after Amterasu sen’t her grandson Ningi to rule earth that he banished his uncle Susanoo to Yomi the underworld where Susanoo later ruled over the realm aswell as demons and evil spirits. I think that the third ability Susanoo is the ability to control demons (the tailed beasts) Kishi could have been hinting at this when Jiraiya says that Madara could have controled Kyuubi, Why can’t Itachi do this you ask, Because after all he has Mangekyou Sharingan too right? Maybe he can it was originally his job to capture Kyuubi after all or it could be that he can’t use susanoo why? because he just isn’t strong enough after all he nearly faints after using Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi and i think trying to control Kyuubi could put alot more strain on the body then either of those two. Why didn’t he use it on Naruto? Well Kyuubi wasn’t in control Naruto was so it might not have worked. Kyuubi Naruto with the four tails however could be a diffirent story.

i think it was the reason itachi did not kill sasuke!!!…so that in case itachi could not perform susanoo, he would except sasuke to do it-his prodigy!!!..furthermore maybe behind masashi’s mind sasuke will be the only one who wud b able to control the nine tailed kyuubi!!..its just a guess, i think it wud b like that if we follow ‘SHIFFRAW’s logic-research!~!

Itachi was told by Tobi to kill the uchiha clan but leave 1. The reason is Tobi is really Obito possesed by Marada and wants his second sharingan eye back. Itachi says Sasuke is too weak because he does not posses the mangyeko sharingan yet and thats what Marada wants. What do you think?

Itachi encouraged Sasuke to achieve m.s. because he him self is going blind from over use of m.s. And can only transfer the eyes of a sibling. Which is why he spared him all those years ago.

yes thats true.. itachi has plans on getting sasuke’s eyes.. but sasuke is way too strong for itachi to handle.. in one scene, tobi /madara said that sasuke will surpass itachi’s eyes which he did in manga 388.. sasuke overcame itachi’s tsukoyomi.. i’m too excited how will sasuke dodge or even pass the power of amaterasu whish burns everything in the field of vision of each user.. don’t know what’ll happen to sasuke.. think it would be a great fight b/w two sharingan users.. exciting isn’t it…

Without a doubt its gonna be a intense fight, i think the child prodigy Itachi has more up his sleeve than just amaterasu, and tsukoyomi, he has the experience of facing sharingan users and the training of madara, speaking of madara he defeated his younger brother after going blind and making his eyes flawless, he has the ability to us m.s. without the loss of vision, and is preping Itachi to follow in his foot steps, or setting him up to fall by the hands of Sasuke……

Going back to an old theory, Madara’s father (Sojobo, king of tengu) was sealed away in such a fashion that the only way to unleash one of the most evil powers in existance was too gather the chakra of the kyuubi, 3 M.S users, and have them use the 3 powers (Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu, and Susanoo) similtaniously. Realizing this, itachi joined the Akatsuki to collect the kyuubi and manipulated sasuke so there would be a 3rd M.S user. when the time comes, itachi will sacrifice his body to the tengu for power.

The old theory about Madara’s father was a scam made by some guy on the internet. The Uchihas are NOT descended from a demon, sorry guys. Sasuke and Itachi are gonna’ fight for like 3 more chapters and then Sasuke will try his ultimate attack, Itachi will use Susanoo to absorb the lightning, then turn the “Thunder God” Susanoo into a sword which can seal any physical thing it impales into an inescapable and eternal genjutsu. Sasuke causes Orochimaru to grow out of his shoulder to help him fight, and Zetsu comments that he’s surprised to see the traitor Orochimaru, and that if the other two just ingore him and keep fighting, he, Zetsu would come out of the wall and kill him, which he probably couldn’t do since Sakura was able to beat him so easily. Orochimaru is stabbed with the Susanoo and vanishes, nobody knows if he was sealed so Sasuke couldn’t use his powers anymore, but since the snake from before comes back later, then presumably he was only sealed for this battle. Itachi is trying desperately to kill Sasuke, and he finally has him cornered and completely without chakra, as he reaches for Sasuke’s eye, he dies and instead just flicks Sasuke in the fourhead like he used to do and he whispers something inaudible to Sasuke. Apparently the Susanoo is like the Reaper Death Seal; meaning that if you use it you will die, however if Itachi had been able to get the eyes from Sasuke he’d have been immortal and survived.

I agree with Risinglife in the aspect that blindness through the use of m.s is linked with the taking of eyes, i can’t see that that would make him invincible. its also a very likely thing that with the use of the thunder god’s sword comes the reprecution of life loss. And lastly, Itachi hasn’t done anything in two and a half years, while sasuke has been training like a nut. Sasuke should win this.
