Spice and Wolf is one of the animes released in this season of winter and so far, 2 episodes had already been released. For me, I suppose I’ll continue with this anime, partly due to its laid-back style of storytelling and animation, as well as its ‘beautiful’ graphics…
I’m not sure what the whole story is about but basically:
It revolves around a merchant named Craft Lawrence.
One night, he met Horo, the wolf whom the villagers had always referred to as God.
Horo has always protected the wheat fields of the village.
The villagers, however, thought that they could survive without her.
Depressed, Horo then decided to return to her home.
They then decided to travel together.
Sparks of love then form between them?
End of summary.

Craft Lawrence

Horo’s first appearance = Epitome of Hawtness
At the end of the first episode, we were all disappointed by her addition of clothes…

Just when we were about to give up hope, the flame rekindled again in episode 2!

PG13…

NC16…

M18…

R21!!!
Even though this anime contains such scenes, it definitely ain’t like those pure fan service animes like Rosario + Vampire or Mahoromatic. I believe this is what one would call ‘art’? From this, I also learnt that a female wolf actually has a different body from a female human… (If you know what I mean.)
Another attraction of Spice and Wolf is its OP and ED. I personally prefer the OP as it carries a majestic and sorrowful feeling with it. It’s also kind of similar to one of Inuyasha’s ED, Shinjitsu no Uta. Hearing it makes you feel calm and relaxed, and a feeling of nostalgia arises within you.
Tabi no Tochū by Natsumi Kiyoura
As for the ED, all I can say is, it’s definitely comparable to Clannad’s wonderful mascot, the Big Dango Family! Watch it and you’ll understand.
Ringo Hiyori by Rocky Chack
This anime only contains 12 episodes, and it’s a typical one-season anime. It’ll most probably stay on my watch-list until it becomes as boring as Ghost Hound, then I’ll drop it without any hesitation. So far, I must admit that it’s actually pretty monotonous to me and if nothing exciting happens within the next few episodes, I guess I would drop it even at the expense of those ‘very beautiful scenes’.
Also, I’m quite sad to say that this anime doesn’t seem to be very popular as not many blogs are blogging about it. But well, let’s just continue to observe it for the moment…
Lol, I love your summary…much shorter than mine ;p. I prefer the ending though, the Engrish is awesome ^^.

This show is good, but not better than True tears.
Love the ED
