Bleach 307 – Zaraki Kenpachi’s in SERIOUS trouble!!!

Summary
The chapter begins with the 4th Bleach Popularity Contest Kurotsuchi attempting to heal Uryuu.
However, Uryuu was afraid of him and refused to let him heal him, but was under control after a clever act by Nemu. Renji requested for Kurotsuchi to heal him first as he wanted to back the rest up in fighting against the Espadas. Kurotsuchi then said that the only one still fighting now was Kenpachi, and that he doesn’t need help from the likes of Renji. Also, he added that Kenpachi and Nnoitra were a couple of monsters, and that Renji certainly wouldn’t want to have his flesh torn from his bones by these monsters.
The scene then changes to the fight between Kenpachi and Nnoitra. Kenpachi managed to pin Nnoitra to the ground and was about to stab him in his face, but Nnoitra dodged that attack. Kenpachi then said that dodging attacks is a form of saying that that attack is dangerous, and that he could actually cut Nnoitra. Nnoitra then said that dodging attacks is a pure battle instinct and there is no way Kenpachi’s sword could cut him. Kenpachi then said that he had never met a single guy whose eye socket couldn’t be cut.
He managed to pierce his Soul Slayer right through Nnoitra’s left eye. However, Nnoitra wasn’t dead yet and Kenpachi was taken aback by this. In the end, Nnoitra pierced his right arm through Kenpachi’s chest.
End
This reminds me of Bankotsu from Inuyasha…

Personal Opinions
Unlike in Naruto, we have yet to see any character die in Bleach. I hope Kenpachi’s not the first. Also, I totally agree with Kurotsuchi. Kenpachi and Nnoitra are indeed some ravage beasts who can’t stop until they have killed one another. Kubo Tite sure have done a good job by pairing them up together in a battle.
So Kenpachi has managed to pierce through Nnoitra’s eye… But how on Earth can he still remain alive?!? Even with his eye pierced, he could still be up and talking. I bet if Kenpachi had his eye pierced, he would be finished very soon… This really spells trouble for Kenpachi. Would he really be able to defeat the 5th Espada? Or is the difference in power simply too great? We’ll leave this for the next chapter…
Now for the 4th Bleach Popularity Contest!!!
I really hate this particular Popularity Contest. I just can’t imagine how Toushirou managed to be the 1st. He’s not even the main character and he’s so pathetic and weak, almost comparable to Ichigo. And yes, ICHIGO!!! From 1st, you dropped to 3rd. You really are pathetic. As for Grimmjow, you won’t stay there long for sure since you’re already dead. And I just can’t understand why Uryuu is 5th…
And it’s quite surprising that some major characters have dropped from the Top Ten… Characters like Zaraki Kenpachi, Urahara Kisuke, Shihouin Yoruichi, and Abarai Renji who were previously hot favourites have lost their footing. Instead, total crap like Kira Izuru (9th) and Hinamori Momo (6th OMG! WTF! HOW ON EARTH DID SHE ACHIEVE THIS?!?) got into the Top Ten.
But well, after Kenpachi had defeated Nnoitra (with his Shikai or Bankai, maybe), I bet his popularity will soar instantly. Let’s hope that he will enter the Top Ten in the 5th Bleach Popularity Contest!

LOL yea maybe his left eye is actually empty. That’s why his eyepatch is covering it. LOL.

As for Kenpachi, he hasn’t even started playing yet, he’s still got his own eye patch on!

i think kenpachi has still his shikai/bankai UNRELEASED…it seems to me that during this battle he will know his zanpakutou’s name…i’m guessing so!!!

Mmm.. I’m dissapointed with the popularity contest, Hinamori and Kira shouldn’t been there >> they haven’t been in the manga lately, and both are such kind of emo >> and Inoue… well, I can’t stand Inoue anymore.
Maybe Hitsugaya as No. 1 it’s because with the movie “Diamond Dust Rebellion” released in December (With him as the main protagonist) all the Bleach fans are with him.

we’ll have to reserve judgement until AFTER zaraki’s eyepatch comes off. zaraki may by now be listening to his zanpakutou. (i STILL feel yachiru has something directly to do with his zanpakutou’s name.)

Even if he does obtain Shikai, I’m guessing it’s just some huge-ass weapon which does huge direct damages to the flesh. It shouldn’t have any special kidou powers. Just like Ichigo? Hmm… That’s like kinda weak lol.

Zaraki may be doomed. it would be quite interesting for the captain of the 11th devision, supposedly the most battle-hardened and combat motivated, to be killed by the 5th Espada. It really shows how vicious the two can be, and if both start deciding to go in really brutally…
anyway, i hope he does die. it will be interesting to see a character die in bleach, and it will show that the captains DON’T come and save the day in the end, which everyone expects them to do. This might be Ichigo’s chance to go Vizard on Nnoitra’s ass and kill him.
