Naruto 390 – Itachi’s Amaterasu fails! It’s time for Sasuke’s trump card!

Summary
The chapter begins by showing that Itachi’s Amaterasu has consumed Sasuke’s flames.
Itachi then used Amaterasu for the second time and managed to hit Sasuke this time. However, that was actually a replacement and Sasuke didn’t get hit by Amaterasu. After surviving the Amaterasu, Sasuke then used the Great Dragon Fire Technique on the exhausted Itachi.
Itachi suffered some injuries from that attack. Sasuke then told Itachi that that second Amaterasu must have taken a lot out of him. Sasuke then continued on to say that he would be using his final jutsu. Itachi then told Sasuke to drop the act. With his Sharingan, Itachi could see that Sasuke was already out of chakra and that Replacement Technique which he used earlier to dodge his Amaterasu consumed a massive amount of chakra. That technique was one of Orochimaru’s.
Sasuke then replied that he was fully prepared and that his final jutsu is like Amaterasu, impossible to avoid. Lastly, he said that he saw the vision of Itachi’s death coming soon.

Personal Opinions
I can’t believe Itachi has gotten this weak… Or rather, Sasuke has gotten this strong. Just two and a half years of training with Orochimaru (Note that Orochimaru is weaker than Itachi) has made Sasuke into a strong ninja powerful enough to fight on par with Itachi. Still, should Itachi’s Amaterasu really has reached Sasuke, he would be toast in an instant.
Amaterasu is indeed extremely scary, but what good is a technique if it can’t hit? Also, it seems like a double-edge sword just like Rock Lee’s Lotus Technique. (However, Itachi’s Amaterasu is obviously stronger than the Primary Lotus.)
Alright, so Sasuke is gonna use his final jutsu next week. Judging by the final picture which has massive clouds in the sky, I’m guessing it’s going to be some thunder jutsu which will strike every thing on the ground controlled by Sasuke’s will. It’s going to be the strongest version of Chidori and I really fear for Itachi… After both Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu, I bet his chakra is already depleted. Yet, Sasuke still has a trump card.
Would Itachi be able to survive this final jutsu of Sasuke’s? My guess is that he would die. What do you guys think? I can’t wait for the next chapter!

that was a really good fight!!..yea it can be a huge chidori…but the point is that how will sasuke escape from that thunder chidori attack???….thus i think it will be a completely new jutsu which orochimaru taught him!!..my suggestion is I DON’T KNOW.. ;-) lolzz

Notice how Zetsu made some sort of realization when he mentioned Sasuke took over Orochimaru, something along the lines of “so thats it”. Sasuke is truly out of chakra, so I dont see how he will pull off a massive attack like a super chidori. Im just guessing but I think Sasuke will attempt the soul-body transfer on Itachi, then take his own eyes from his abandonded body, and acquire the power Itachi was longing for, thus becoming strong enough to face Madara. Orochimarus soul transfer technique doesnt seem to be a technique based on chakra, because he has attempted it before in weakened states. Plus your leaving your body behind, with all the chakra in it and adopting a new one, so maybe is based on the power of your soul and not your bodies chakra.

I also can’t see how Sasuke could pull off such a grandeur jutsu with his chakra depleted.
I can’t imagine how Sasuke managed to match Itachi in terms of basic skill (such that Itachi had to use Mangekyou) in just 2.5 years. I’m pretty frustrated with Amaterasu

As I had read the latest episode which is the “final jutsu”, after he used his “KATON GOUR YUUKA NO JUTSU”, the sky became dark and cloudy, a sign that it might rain. There is also a part where sasuke mentioned that “HE’S RIGHT WHERE I WANT HIM”…Itachi is basically above Sasuke…”see page 8″..
So sasuke wants to be in that position preparing for his final jutsu… In page 16, Itachi mentioned the words “DROP THE ACT”… I think this is one of the hint to know what kind of jutsu sasuke is going to perform…One of sasuke’s masterpiece jutsu is chidori, which is quite related to lightning…Lightning can be consider also as an electricity…Related to this, water is a good conductor of electricity…
1)”DROP THE ACT” I think it is all about raindrops…
2)Sasuke go under the roof so he will not be get wet by the rain…and also primarily, he will not get affected by the jutsu that he is going to perfom…
3)Because sasuke doesn’t have much chakra, maybe, he will use a lightning scroll or some items that can produce electricity…
4)Itachi might not able to dodge that attack like sasuke mentioned..
Basically because wherever he is, while he is in the wet area the electric current will come after him…
5) They are both sharingan users so they really know whether sasuke or even itachi has some chakra left…
All jutsus require chakra to perform…So sasuke might use some alternative ways to defeat his brother…After all he said that he is well prepared in this fight…

Sasuke said that he would be prepared for this so I believe that he has found a way to increase his amount of chakra or “borrow” it from somewhere/someone. BUT remember that Itachi’s 3rd mangekyou sharingan is something like a storm (sasuno or something like that) so it’s not impossible that they would have a “grande finale” with storms…

it is not verified that itachi has a 3rd mangekyou-related skill. susanoo is just a speculation. zetsu seems to have hinted that each of itachi’s eye has one related skill. right for amaterasu; left for tsukiyomi. with that, i don’t think itachi has a 3rd mangekyou-related skill. and besides, even if he had it, he won’t have the chakra to perform it.

yea there is a third technique but it is assumed to be the technique that kakashi has.but im very dissapointed with amaterasu it isnt as unstopable as itachi claimed it would be as long as u got speed u can pretty much avoid it

HEY THIS IS ABOUT SASKUES NEXT MOVE.
since they are both out of chakra, could his move be the long ago copied from rock lee, lotus? because once he grabs hold of itachi he wont let go until he smashes his head into the ground and breaks his neck or something.
1 it does not require chakra
2 itachi would be semi blind, unable to taijutsu back at sasuke cos his right arm was bitten by that dragon fire thingy, and he was pierced in the butt by sasukes shadow shuriken blade!
by process of elimination. the dark clouds forming could be coincidence and the usual sign that the fight and mood is getting intenser or ending . if its a chakra lightning storm it would surely cost loads of chakra which sasuke is out of, summoning of anything as well would cost blood and chakra. sorry for the long ass comment!

I didn’t realize Sasuke using Orichimaru’s replacement technique until I looked closer lol, I thought he was just sweaty. I actually think Itachi will be either killed or near death but brought back to life later on. Sasuke needs someone to kill, I doubt it would ever turn to Naruto, or else he has no meaning in life ^^.

remember sasuke can use the cursed seal tat is the source of his strength he has 5 times more chakra w/o he wouldnt be able 2 have absorbed orochimaru or stand up to itachi who just has normal chakra.

Itachi’s death will surely come and Sasuke will be victorious. No matter how strong Itachi will appear to be, there will be an end to this.

oh man awesome chapter. now sasuke is like skeleton king from dota, as long as he has mana he can reincarnate LOL.sasuke wont die and will progress from here to kill madara i guess. or try to kill him. after all now he knows that he was part responsible for the uchiha annihalation. also… by now itachi is probably blind! look at that blood oozing out
