A Very Painful Lesson Learnt…

Indeed, the figure which I bought was an imitation. After comparing it with the pictures found on RIUVA, I confirmed the fact that it’s a fake. Since this is my first time, I’ll just let it pass. Once bitten, twice shy. I’ll never let myself get conned again. Though the thought of throwing S$27.90 into the drain really pains my heart…
From now on, I’ll only buy anime products from official and reliable shops. They are KKnM, Ani-Play, and La Tendo. Never again will I buy from other places. Let’s boycott Miniature Hobby!!!
Any Figure Experts here?

After reading the comments in my previous post, I can’t deny that I got a little bit scared, even though I still strongly believe that the figure I bought wasn’t a fake. This is my first figure so I’m totally unfamiliar with identifying fakes or imitations. I’ve taken some pictures of the figure and her box and posted it on here. I would be glad if anyone could just give me some advice. Your help is greatly appreciated.
If it’s not an imitation, I would most probably continue with the photo shoot. If it proves otherwise, it would most probably enter a secluded corner of my room and I would not wind the Rozen Maiden anymore.

After seeing all those advertisements on the MRT promoting a new shopping centre, Leisure Park Kallang, I just can’t wait to check it out. Best of all, La Tendo Shop has also relocated from Sunshine Plaza to here. This is most probably the main reason which attracted me to go there this afternoon.
For those who want to visit this new shopping centre too, just take an MRT ride and alight at Kallang station. From there, take Bus Number 11 and alight at the third stop.

Isn’t she a stunning figure to you? I guess almost 75% of you don’t know who this character is. In fact, I don’t know either! But anyway, the main point is not about the identity of this figure. The main point is that, she will have a home soon! That’s right, her new home will be on my computer desk and she will be moving in next year March.
Making my pre-order today, I met up with §oL, Zenical, and one of her friends at KKnM today.
A Total Disappointment

What else can I say now besides WTF? I made a trip today to KKnM, intending to make my order for 1/8 Fate Testarossa by Alter (Reproduced). To my greatest dismay, I was put on the waiting list due to the huge demand for that figure. The ordering period has only been a few weeks and it’s already gone?!? And guess what? I was the first name on the waiting list! I really feel like strangling that ‘lucky’ person who was the last one ahead of me to get his/her hands on that figure.
A warning to that person: You better not appear in front of me. I may not be able to control myself.
On a lighter note, I went to Kinokuniya in Bugis Junction and got my hands on Volume 2 of He is my Master. A pity Volume 1 is sold out. Though I haven’t read the manga yet, I scanned through a few of the pages and definitely had high hopes for the comedic elements in it. A pity it’s in Chinese – One of my worst subjects. Does anyone know where one can find the English version of it? Kinokuniya @ Bugis Junction doesn’t seem to have it…
Right now, I’m certainly fuming mad. I don’t know if this is a blessing in disguise, (I can save myself S$88.) but I certainly don’t want such blessings!!! I want my Fate Testarossa!!! Still, if it REALLY is sold out, I guess I will just have to settle for the 1/7 Izumi Sawatari. Anyway, having 2 Sawataris make quite a good pair too, doesn’t it?
P.S. You have just wasted 3 minutes of your precious time hearing me rant about my frustrations in figure hunting.

I seriously can’t bring myself to like Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, no matter how popular it may seem. After watching the first 2 episodes, I just can’t continue anymore. Fans of her, please don’t blame me!!! Even though I may feel that way about the anime, I must admit that the characters are very beautifully drawn, especially Fate Testarossa. This has attracted me to her latest reproduced 1/8 figure by Alter.
I suppose Fate will be residing on my desk in May next year. Even though she costs a whooping 6800 yen, (about S$88) I just felt the need to buy her. This is my first time buying a figure without having watched the anime beforehand. I hope I made the right decision…
Also, I’m still contemplating whether to buy the 1/7 Izumi Sawatari figure by Enterbrain. She sure looks seductive to me… The biggest attraction of this figure will have to be the fact that even though it’s 1/7, it has an awesome height of 25 cm (Imagine the real height of the character being 175 cm. Izumi’s nowhere near that height!) and costs only S$58. That’s dirt cheap for such a huge figure!
~Uguu~ The biggest woe of a post-O Level student is the lack of money… I guess I will have to find another part-time job… Anyone with any good recommendations? Please hire me!!!
